This is actually good advice. People who buy or build new real estate tend to be the ones who don’t take it seriously. They’re the ones who don’t take the time to understand how the company’s business model works. If the company has a well-defined strategy, people in the company can learn from the company’s successes and failures, and the company’s success can be used to improve the company’s marketing efforts.

I don’t think there are any hard and fast rules for what materials to use. If you want it painted, but not painted that color, you might be better off using plywood, metal panels, wood-framed doors, or something similar. If you want to paint your house a certain color, but not colored that color, using a different material might be a good idea too.
I think this is a very subjective thing. If you’re trying to paint your house a certain color, and you do a good job, you’re going to get some people who don’t think you did a great job. But for the most part, the majority of people I know who paint their homes look fantastic, and they don’t really care what other people think.
